15 Months!

Wow, It's been a long time since the last post. Since the last post... We've enjoyed another year of Buckeyes football. Andrew was a monkey for Halloween. We took him trick-or-treating to see some family. Troy's trick-or-treat night was very cold, so we stayed in to gave out candy. Cousin Ben had his 2nd birthday party. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family.

Andrew has definitely been growing and getting into more things (notice all the scrapes on his face). He started running at 14-1/2 months and is getting a little faster every day. He has started to dance when music is playing. He bends his knees and bounces up and down. He is much taller and can reach the top of the table and countertop. He knows how to go down the stair steps. His communication is also developing. When asked if he wants some milk, he runs over to the frig and grabs the handle. When asked if he is ready for night-night, he runs over to the stairs waiting for the ok to go up the steps. In the last couple days, he has started to make the hand sign for milk.

Playing in the Kitchen

Andrew's favorite place to play is in the kitchen. He loves the utensil drawer, towel drawer, coolie cup drawer, and plastic pitcher cupboard.

Mom & Dad were getting pretty tired of picking up all the stuff that Andrew took out. We put up a new barricade in attempt to keep him out of the kitchen.

Loves to open and close the door to play peek-a-boo

Happy Birthday Grandpa Bergman

We recently celebrated Grandpa Bergman's 60th birthday. The kids all wore shirts that said "My Grandpa is 60."

The boys haven't grasped the concept of blowing out the candles. Grandpa & Josie did all the work.

Andrew's favorite toy at G&Gs is the basket.

Buckeyes Game

On Saturday, we went to Columbus for the Ohio State Eastern Michigan game. It was a surprise 30th birthday present for Tim. He thought that we were going to the zoo. It was the first time that both of us were watching the game from inside the Shoe. We went to the game with the Dippolds and had a great day.

Nothing better than cylindrical sausage! Yum!

We had pretty good seats, Row 28 on 20 yard line.

He's a walker!

Andrew has officially started walking this week. Started the week slowly, but he is now walking all over; front door to the couch and kitchen table to the TV. He puts his hands up in the air to help him keep his balance. Andrew is also able to go from a sitting position on the floor to standing without using something to help him up.

The video was taken on Monday, and he has made a lot of progress in only a few days.

Happy 1st Birthday

Wow, I can not believe Andrew is one year old! The past year has been wonderful. Each stage has been great and I love watching him grow. Andrew is very curious and quite an explorer. He loves to play in the kitchen and recently discovered where we store our plastic pitchers. He likes to take everything out of the cupboard so it is all over the floor. Andrw is taking 3-5 steps at a time, but not walking yet. Andrew's favorite book is Dr. Suess's "Hand Hand Fingers Thumb." He will sit still for Mom or Dad to finish reading.

Andrew is usually a good eater. He loves pasta, hot dogs, chicken, vegetables, and ice cream. His favorite vegetable is green beens and carrots. He has realized that he can crunch cherios with his front teeth. He is more picky with the fruits that he eats. We've tried many different fruits this summer and he sticks to the basic bananas, applesauce, peaches, & pears.

Since Andrew was 8 weeks old, he has been sleeping through the night. He has definitely spoiled Mom & Dad. In the last month, he has taken interest in his blankie. When he is tired, he puts his left thumb in his mouth, and with his right hand grabs the blanket and moves it up to his right cheek. When we check on him sleeping in his crib, the blanket is either under him or in his arms. It is so adorable... as long as he doesn't turn into Linus.

Chair barricade going up the steps. So glad to finally have a gate.

Just started doing this in the last week. He likes to look around upside down.

Andrew started this "spin" thing about a week before his 1st birthday. He gets excited and spins around in circles. So funny.

Last weekend, we had a big party for Andrew's first birthday. All of Andrew's grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins came over to celebrate. Tim grilled chicken quarters and they were excellent. After lunch, we had birthday cake and opened presents. He did well with the cake. Slowly digging into it with his hands but after a while he leaned forward and stuck his whole mouth in the cake! Thanks everyone for coming over and the presents. Andrew has been busy all week playing with his new toys.

Touchdown

For months, we've been trying to get Andrew to clap and wave bye-bye. We haven't had much luck and are still working on it. In preparation for football season, I thought we better start working on "touchdown." It didn't take long for him to figure it out!

We recently celebrated Josie's 4th birthday. Josie with her godparents.

A pretty princess cake!

We had the sprinkler going and decided to let Andrew explore the backyard. He was crawling all over and had a great time sticking his hands in the sprinkler.

50 Weeks.

It's hard to believe that he used to be smaller than the bear!

Newspaper

Wow! He was so excited that he could play with the newspaper!

Kitchen utensil = Great toy

He prefers the toy to be in this position. If it is upright on the wheels, he always turns it over.

Love Drivin' Trucks

He could go on for hours... back and forth across the floor.

Summer Fun

Andrew is 11 months old and a very busy little boy. He is cruising along furniture and likes to walk behind toys, but not ready to walk by himself yet. He loves to play with balls and trucks. Andrew has 7 teeth and is eating about 70% big kid food. He is eating a lot of fresh vegetables, but doesn't like fresh fruit (still prefers baby food fruits).

We were eating corn on the cob and gave a piece to Andrew. He was very proud to have his own piece and preferred to eat it vertically. Yum Yum!

Every summer, the Bergman family takes a vacation together. This year, we had a stay-cation at Grandma & Grandpa's house. We had a great weekend spending some quality time with each other playing cornhole, croquet, & hillbilly golf, relaxing in the hot tub, sitting around a campfire, and eating lots of great food (especially Tim's famous ribs).

Andrew loved the playhouse, especially climbing in and out of the window.
