So Big!

In the last week, Andrew has started a few new things... He has shown a lot of interest in the TV. When it is time to burp, I sit-up Andrew on my lap facing away from the TV. He turns his head as far as he can... then starts to turn his shoulders to try to see the TV. I tell him that little boys aren't supposed to watch TV, but he doesn't seem to listen... Another new thing is that Andrew also wants to be in a more upright position and before too long he'll be able to sit-up. If he is laying with his head slightly angled upward, he starts to lift-up his head/shoulders and curl-up his feet so he is upright and able to see!

At several recent gatherings, we've often heard "Andrew is filling out." Personally, I think his cheeks get bigger every day. Below is a recent picture that displays Andrew's round face, firm cheeks, double chin, and no neck... Isn't he so cute!

We had a little trouble with the 14-week picture. He started eating the bear...

Then, we moved the bear's arm behind Andrew.

More smiles every day!

After Andrew has fallen asleep in the swing, he tends to fall over... We had to place a pillow on the swing tray so he wouldn't bang his head. Yesterday, we were told how to adjust the reclining position on the seat. Oops, I suppose we are still pretty green at this parenting thing...

Growing, Growing, Growing

Andrew is growing-up so fast. I can't believe he is 3 months old! He has brought so much joy into our lives, and makes us smile every day.

12-Weeks Old

In the last week, Andrew realized that he has a tongue. He's been sticking it out!

We recently got out the bumbo and Andrew seemed to liked it. I put the baseball hat on him, and he seemed like such a little man.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a very busy day! We went to Grandpa & Grandma Bergman's house for lunch. We had an excellent meal. Later that day, we went to Grandpa & Grandma Meier's house. In addition to Thanksgiving, we also celebrated Grandpa Meier's 60th birthday. The older kids wore shirts that said "My Grandpa is 60!"

One more picture with Granny!

Everyone brought Grandpa a birthday present containing 60 items, including 60 pieces of candy, 60 cookies, 60 oz beer, 60 oz of peanuts, etc.

On Saturday, we had the Grillot Holiday party to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas. After a wonderful meal, Santa arrived at the party. We think Andrew liked Santa, but he didn't show much emotion!

Week #11

A few pictures of Andrew hanging out on the boppy last Sunday. He is getting stronger and has a little more control of his head. Yes, he still enjoys sucking his fingers.

Week #10

On Sunday, we went to Ben Meier's 1st birthday party. Ben received lots of toys and some clothes. He was generously sharing his toys, especially with his older brother Bryant.

Andrew - 10 Weeks

Recently, we got out the activity mat that Aunt Mindi let us borrow. Andrew likes to hold up his arms and hit the toys so they move and make noise. He doesn't try to grab the toys yet, but it won't be long. He has started to grab Mom's hair when she is holding him.

Week #9

Week #9 was very exciting. We had Andrew's baptism on November 8th and Lori went back to work part time. Andrew also had his 2-month check-up. He was 11 lbs 3 oz (50th percentile) and 22" long (25th percentile). He is gowing so fast... He likes to kick his feet and move his arms. He has been sleeping through the night and that makes Mom & Dad very happy!

Andrew had a very special baptisimal gown that has been in the Bergman family for many years. The gown was worn by Tim's dad, Tim, and Andrew.

In addition to baptism, it was Tim's 29th birthday on November 8th. Notice the "Happy Birthday Tim" on the side of the cake.

We all sang to Tim and he blew out the special 29 candles!

I went back to work part-time this week. I worked two days, and they went very fast. I wasn't working too hard, mostly checking email and talking to my co-workers. Andrew spent his days at the sitter. On the first day, Andrew went through two outfits and came home in the sitter's clothes. All the other kids were excited to see Baby Andrew!

Week #8

We took a weekend trip to Hocking Hills. We spent the weekend relaxing and enjoying the fall weather. Tim grilled some steaks and pork chops.

8 Weeks Old

Andrew has become quite a mover & shaker. He likes to kick and move his hands. His kicking makes it hard to keep socks on his feet.

During the last few days, Andrew has started sucking his fingers more frequently. Yesterday, I gave him his pacifier. A few minutes later, I look over and he had spit out the pacifier and was sucking on his fingers.

Week #7

We went trick-or-treating on Saturday afternoon. Andrew received the tiger outfit from Grandma & Grandpa Bergman on the day he was born.

We've heard a few giggles while Andrew is in the phase between awake and sleep. We can't wait for those giggles when he is awake!
